2014 FIFA World Cup Offside Rule Explained

New changes in offside rule for FIFA World Cup 2014 is little bit confusing. Let's me explain FIFA World Cup 2014 offside rule in simple way. Offside rule is a rule to stop players from standing by the opponent’s net in case a ball the ball happens by them and they can quickly put it in the goal. It’s to stop foul play. For instance, if a player is standing by the opponent’s net when all the other players are up the field fighting over the ball, a well placed long pass could put this sneaky player in a perfect scoring position well behind the opposing team’s defenders. It’s a shady strategy, so it’s against the rules.

Let's take a look at video to get idea about offside rule.
